Be Beautiful, Do Beautiful

At Rivela Plastic Surgery, we feel beauty is not just the way you look, it is what you do.

YES to YOUTH – Montgomery County Youth Services

From 2005 Dr Rivela has been involved with YES to YOUTH, offering short-term crisis intervention and mental health services for youth up to age 18 with individual, group, and family counseling at no charge. Montgomery County Youth Services also runs BridgeWay Youth Shelter: a short-term shelter program, serving youth aged 10 to 17 providing intensive intervention, counseling, housing, food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and more.

Other MCYS services include a therapeutic summer camp, Healthy Supports prevention services, Group counseling and skills development in area schools, Suicide prevention, 24-hour, 7 days a week on-call response to the Crisis Runaway Hotline, Community Outreach and Education, Truancy Programs and Parenting Workshops. For more information visit www.youthmc.org.

Montgomery County Women’s Center

From 2005 to 2018, Rivela Plastic Surgery was proud to fund and provide weekly art classes and portrait drawings for women in our local battered women’s shelter as part of the Montgomery County Women’s Center. Thank you for helping us share this gift to women and children in need.

Inspiration Ranch

For 2012 and 2013, as part of our community outreach, our marketing director, Patti Rivela has been the chair of the annual Inspiration Ranch Denim and Diamond Gala. Founded by Linda and David Darnell, Inspiration Ranch, is a non-profit, minimal fee, equine-assisted therapy ranch. We offer equine programs in a loving, Christian environment to children, individuals, and families. Using horses to assist people with physical, mental, and emotional challenges provides unparalleled therapy results. Inspiration Ranch also donates equine-assisted therapy for the YES to YOUTH youth shelter. For more information, visit pciranch.org.

New Danville

In 2009, 2010, and 2011, as part of our community outreach, Patti Rivela founded and chaired the Tea on the Lawn event for New Danville, a self-sustaining, master-planned, integrated community where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can live, learn, work and grow emotionally, socially, and spiritually with their non-disabled peers in Montgomery County.

Step Forward Step Forward

Step Forward is the annual walk providing awareness and raising funds for Tuberous Sclerosis research. Tuberous Sclerosis is a genetic disorder causing tumors to form in various organs, primarily in the brain, eyes, heart, kidneys, liver, and lungs, as well as on the skin, frequently causing epilepsy, autism, learning and behavioral problems, and life-threatening conditions. Currently, there is no cure. Step Forward is a national fundraising charity organized by local volunteers and families affected by TSC. For more information, contact Yolanda at 281-475-5545 or visit tsalliance.org.

In the Pink Memorial Hermann Foundation

In 2003, 2004, and 2005, as part of our community outreach, Patti Rivela co-chaired the “In the Pink of Health” Luncheon. Funds from the luncheon were allocated to three primary areas – education, technology, and community outreach for the Breast and Bone Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. Proceeds provided for breakthroughs in technology through the purchase of new equipment, free mammograms for underserved women, and educational materials for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and their families in our area.

Throughout the year, the Rivela’s are involved with many other charities in the community. Thank you for your support which allows us to do beautiful things throughout our community.
